Wolff’s Pack Snowmobile Club Meeting Minutes
December 8, 2020 at Winkler’s Westward HO

The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by President,
Paul Kuehnl.

First order of business:
The November 2020 meeting minutes were read by Matt Smits— a revision was made to clarify a previous motion, as well as a spelling error in the November 2020 meeting minutes brought to attention by Patty Hoelzel. Corrections have been made and were sent out with the December 2020 meeting minutes. A motion to approve the revised minutes was made and unanimously approved.

Treasurer’s Report (Ending 10/31/2020)

Stu Hoezel made motion to accept the treasurers report, Eric Kappell seconded and all approved

Social / Promotions Committee
Fox Valley Winter Expo (January 21, 2021):
Raffle item collection is wrapping up and there are only a few more items to collect. Don and Michelle Westbrook are awaiting Hexco Motorsports, and Matt Smits needs to go collect the helmet and jacket from Winnebegoland. An idea to reach out to Meat Block/ Haen’s Meat Market was brought up and Stacy Frakes agreed to reach out and see if they would be willing to donate. Thanks Stacy! Don and Michelle Westbrook also agreed to become admins for the Facebook page to begin posting items/ events relevant to Winter Expo 2021. Please contact Stacy Frakes if you need a poster to hang up at work, bar, or restaurant.

Club Raffle(s):  Ariens Snowblower Raffle; Drawing was held at 8PM during the December 2020 meeting (live broadcast on Facebook) and the results are as follows;

Grand Prize- Ariens 28” SHO Deluxe Snowblower—retail value of $1,299.

  Stacy if you know of a place that tickets could be sold. Members are encouraged
  to spread the word, get out, and sell, sell, sell!

County Director’s Report
Not a whole lot of new news from the directors report. The following was reported;

• ‘Snowmobile Friendly Community’ award
  applications are due 01/04/2021

Trail/Grooming Committee
Trail marking had the best turnout in quite some time. 17 people came out on 12/05 official marking day and almost everyone had a unit to assist. All brushing and trail marking has been completed—all we need is snow! Special thank you to Team Winnebegoland for the demo Ranger and Pat Jensen (new member) bringing the brushing crew of future riders to assist!

Membership and Safety Committee:  
At the time of the meeting, the club had collected 55 memberships so far for the 2020/2021 season. Jason Ollanketo to send out reminder emails as necessary. Jason O has two safety classes now scheduled with 43 future riders attending

Old Business
GPS for Groomer:
Groomer GPS should be delivered within the week, paperwork will be submitted within the week for reimbursement.

Lease for groomer barn:
The board renewed the lease for the groomer barn. The same language was used as the last contract and is a 2 year term with applicable dates updated and subsequently signed by both parties.

New Business
Zoom Virtual Meeting:
Zoom meeting set up from AWSC was non-functional at time of meeting- Jason O and Matt S to get together as Alliance may be purchasing a membership for future meetings. More to come and WP apologizes for not being able to host the call in feature to the larger group during the Dec Meeting. Mike G and the Westbrooks were dialed in manually as they had business to share.

Boys/ Girls Brigade:
A big thank you goes out to Grant Wilson for organizing sponsoring a family from the local boys/ girl brigade. Through member donations (no club funds were used) we were able to purchase gifts to assist a family in having a wonderful Christmas during extremely tough times.
